Theme For the Week of 12/3: Sport

This will be the 4th theme I've chosen over the course of this wonderful, crazy blog, and each of them has something in common with the others.  I've already told a couple of tubbers the connection, and I'd love to see if anyone else can guess it.  What do the following words have in common?

Breakfast, Pets, Hits, Sport.

They are all things that you love?

They are all things that are better when bacon is involved?

Those words are both verbs and nouns.

Breakfast can be a verb when Jews break-fast after that one holiday where they don't eat and are crankier than usual.
