We have a final next week in Scientific Methods for Social Scientists. Last week, our professor asked us what format we'd prefer for the final. We responded in a rousing chorus of "matching!" Matching tests are the greatest. You can really use process of elimination way more than you can with multiple choice, and creative teachers can make the letters you use spell things. Without matching, I never would have pulled B in high school chemistry. Since finals are around this week, instead of creating a normal, multiple choice quiz for you today, I'm going to gift you with a lovely matching quiz of college mascots. Roll over the school mascots to see what animals/blobs they purport to be. Then hit the word bank to pick what school you think is right. There are no letters, so nothing is going to spell anything fun.
Word Box! (I know it's not in a box, I've had the worst time formatting tonight.)

University of Arkansas- Monticello Boll Weevil
Webster University Gorlok ("The name 'Gorlok' was derived from the combination of two streets that
intersect in the heart of 'Old Webster,' Gore and Lockwood avenues. The
name was chosen in June 1984 by a campus committee that considered many
suggestions and voted several times before settling on the unusual
nickname." Lamezors.) (Courtesy of the Webster University website.)
Saint Louis University Billiken. This MIGHT help explain it.
Emily's Trivia Quiz runs Fridays at 9:00 a.m. She is sorry this looks so ugly. Also, she's thrilled that she could use that song as a lyric, because how many posts are about boll weevils??

Southern Illinois is always my favorite team to see in the ncaa tournament. because they are, as their name indicates, so ill.
also i always have to stop and think whether i mean "ncaa" or "naacp" when college basketball season rolls around, lest i embarrass myself by appearing even more oblivious to sports than i actually am.

Interesting. Only two questions:
1. What's a zip? and
2. What's Webster University?

Hate to call you out on this, but the university of arkansas' mascot is the razorback, a type of hog. it would appear that the boll weevil is the mascot of the university of arkansas-monticello

Dad: This explains a zip: http://www.uofazips.com/what_is_zip.php
And this explains Webster University: http://www.webster.edu/, which is in St. Louis
HotSauce: My bad, I can't even tell you how tired I was when I wrote this, but that's no excuse.
