Faithful readers, your Tubtributors have an announcement to make: effective January 1, 2008, regular posting on The Bathtub will conclude. Continue reading for more information.
That's right, this website will go out with the year 2007 to make way for some new pursuits in 2008. For some of us, those new pursuits will be other blogs; for others, said pursuits will mainly be restricted to TV-watching and buttock-scratching.
We've made this decision because we can't all continue writing in the new year, and the rest of us don't want to keep going with any other group of people than the configuration we're used to. Instead, we're going to try some new things.
We'll keep the domain up and its archives will remain available for the foreseeable future. In fact, we haven't ruled out the possibility of using this space for some other crazy venture in the future--but for now, we're pulling the drain plug.
So--the countdown begins. We've only got a few themes left, and we'll try our damnedest to make them good ones. Thanks for reading.

The birth -- and death -- of the "Hey, People!" tag. You were not for this world.

Dudes, hate to break it to you, but we have soooo used that tag before. FOUR TIMES!

Have you no sense of loyalty to the one reader who isn't related to or friends with any of you? Where am I supposed to reflect on the musings of over-educated, under-experienced twenty-somethings now? Sure, you may try a little too hard to be sardonic and you have the gall to look back at 1997 as though it was ages ago, but dammit, it's cute. It makes me miss the arrogance of youth.

This is terrible news! I hope LMNOP will continue and that other Tub contributors will continue blogging (perhaps they could join Akkoush Reality World, a blog that could be helped by some new contributors).
Question: Will the final post be on December 28 or on my birthday?

Looks like it will be on your birthday. That's kind of ironic . . .
And LMNOP will obvi continue.
