a. Red!  Apparently there was something wrong with the red food dye they were using and the Food & Drug Administration wasn't entirely thrilled.  In 1987, red M&Ms came back.  Which makes sense, because I don't remember there ever NOT being red M&Ms, and as far as I can tell, my memory only goes back to 1987.

d. Peppermint.  The German word is "Pfefferminz." (They took the first, the middle, and the last letters in the word.)
