I love, love, love to travel. Be it Disney World, Europe, Mexico, the Middle East or even New Jersey, I can't keep my two feet in the same place for any extended period of time. Unfortunately, due to a demanding work schedule (ok, I work retail and two days off in a row is rare) and a limited budget (umm, my parents aren't taking me with them as much as they used to) I have not traveled anywhere as of late. This is why New Jersey has become an exciting travel destination for me. And I didn't even go to the shore last time. Regardless, I just bought myself two copies of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die. One is the classic, whole world version, and the other is the U.S.A. and Canada version, which just came out and is totally sweet. Since I'm not really going anywhere anytime soon, and I'm living vicariously through those two books, I figured traveling would an apt theme so I could live vicariously, but this time, through The Bathtub!

Oooh, I've seen that 1000 places book.
Also, I remember seeing a commercial put out by the govt of New Jersey trying get people to come to New Jeresey (which included the unfortunate double-entreded line from then-Gov McGreevey "Come out and see us!"--seriouxbeez). I remember marveling at the fact that they only needed to fill 30 seconds with scenery/lighthouses etc to make the state look fantastic and it still looked like, well, New Jersey.

As does MY mom!
(My dad got it for her for Christmas last year, but then he needed a birthday gift for this guy across the street, so he took it back from my mom and gave it to our neighbor. He purchased my mom a new copy this x-mas.)
