We can all remember a family vacation that was terrible. For some of us, we ended up in a hospital. For others, we wound up naked in a pile of goo in the future. Regardless, something about our trips made them lame and annoying. (Seriously, I hate that commercial it is ALWAYS on during Top Chef. What is it about that guy that makes me hate him so much? I don't know. The burger does look delicious, though.)
Today, you'll have an opportunity to plan a perfect vacation - going where you want, with who you want, doing what you want. It's up to you to plan it, write about it, and put your plan into action! As always, I'll grade you if you so desire. Everyone loves being evaluated every once in a while!
Okay, class, today we're using a format that may be familiar to you by now: a worksheet to guide you through the process and then sentence stems (which will be graded.) The twist is that the sentence stems should be in paragraph form (not a bulleted list) and you may gain extra points for creative sentences at the end! I will answer questions if you raise your hand! (Unless they're stupid questions.)
And, as promised, here's the back of the worksheet:
I look forward to reading your paragraphs! Class dismissed.

The religion I invented last week forbids me from completing this worksheet.

On my dream vacation we had the most fun ever! The first thing I did was make Lauren freak out because we tricked into going on a roller coaster. I bought $20 worth of Whack-A-Mole, ice cream, and an Old Tyme Photo. We went to Six Flags and traveled by Hybrid. The only problem was that Justin Douglas smelled. But we listened to "The Venga Bus" 5 times, so it was okay in the end! My favorite part was when we went really fast on the Tilt-A-Whirl and laughed really hard. I hope we can go to Six Flags again this year!

Sorry, that last one was by ME.

I'd rather eat glass than listen to 'the venga bus' 5 times- even ironically that is Far too much. Kq- like the worksheets despite my being too lazy to do it this week. Next week might I suggest some straight-up MadLibs? everyone likes MadLibs.

MAdlibs are depressing for teachers because they show you that your students still don't know parts of speech

On my dream vacation, I had the most fun ever! The first thing I did was bludgeon the guy from the ruby tuesday commercial. I brought half a brick, a carpet in which I planned to roll up the body, and a toilet. We went to the old quarry and we traveled by fart. The only problem was poop. But, that guy's head split apart like a cantaloupe that's been sitting in the sun, so it was okay in the end! My favorite part was feasting on the rich goo inside his head (which ate like a steak (but cut like butter)).
