Whoops! I was so excited about my theme that I forgot to tell you what it was! I apologize, dear Tubbies. This week's theme is "Monsters, Ballads, and Monster Ballads," paying homage to my secret love (besides Anderson Cooper) of compilation albums only sold on television. Monster Ballads, of course, is one of my favorites. Oh how I love listening to tough guys with long hair, wailing on their guitars and leaving their rebel personas for a second to show off their sensitive sides. So macho.
I understand that not everyone finds these anthems as totally rad as I do. So this week is a celebration of all the parts of the monster ballad: monsters and ballads. Here's to Oscar the Grouch, Frankenstein, Celine Dion, Meatloaf and every sweet quitar solo in between. Because it takes more than words to show you feel that your love for me is real....or, er, something.

What's a "quitar solo"?

It's spanish for "To clear single," of course.

Oh ok. Makes sense. Meat Loaf was known for his ability to clear singles after all. My mistake.

did you include Celine Dion because she sings monster ballads or because she is a monster? I'm confused if only because I feel she could probably fit nicely into either category.

Whatever guys, sometimes I get q and g confuuuused. Besides, quitar looks cooler anyways.
And Celine Dion sings ballads, therefore is meantioned. But she could definitely fit as some sort of long-necked, chest-pounding, over -emotional hyphenosaurus.
