My initial plan for this post was to write trivia about my favorite monsters ever, those on Sesame Street. I absolutely love Sesame Street. More than most childless 23 year olds. In fact, I have a resume on my computer to send to Children’s Television Workshop because working for them is pretty much my dream job. Hear that CTW? I’m all yours. And I’m ready for you to send me to third world countries to develop Sesame Street for them. Ok, enough about my career aspirations. Since a few of my fellow bloggers also wrote about the Muppets, I decided to take a different course of action.
MONSTER TRUCKS!!
I was born in the South. And as a three-month old, nothing excited me more than seeing an advertisement for a monster truck rally on the television. All I wanted was to go to a rally and cheer on Grave Digger at the arena, so my mother did what most doting mothers would. She moved me 654 miles north to get me away from monster truck rallies. Regardless, here’s your chance to learn a little bit about monster trucks:
- A monster truck show is basically a HUGE truck smooshing vehicles beneath its huge tires with many people watching it.
- The trucks are equipped with remote shut-off switches called Remote Ignition Interuptors (RII) to help prevent an accident if the driver loses control.
- Big trucks are awesome.
- “Because of their initial popularity in conjunction with tractor pulls and mud bogs, monster trucks are often portrayed as being popular solely among rednecks.”

aaaaaaaaaaaand my facts end there. GOOD GOLLY. There is nothing interesting to research or quiz about monster trucks. I give up, and leave you with the following:
SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! BE THERE!
Ok, I won’t lie, I spent wayyyy more time researching Sesame Street and Muppets. So here is some genuine Muppet trivia:
A Muppet version of Wikipedia. Seriously, this is fantastic.
I also really wanted to write about Sweetums, THE muppet monster. But there’s not much trivia about him either.
Even though, he is pretty sweet, and here he is speaking at a worthy place of employment, right in front of the "True Crime" section. I have got to wonder what was discussed in that speech. Oh Sweetums...
So, in that case, I will leave you with some monster videos of Furry Happy Monsters (for you Caitlar) and the Two Headed Monster buying shoes. You forget how funny these guys are when you don't watch them for a while!
*I have decided to change the format of my trivia blog since no one really knows the answers to these crazy questions I have concocted, and it’s a pain in the tush to scroll down to the bottom of the page. If anyone has a problem with this, feel free to let me know and I’ll revert to the old system. I’m also open to suggestions!

I like this post because I can picture your thought process as you wrote it:
Man, I guess I should write about something other than Sesame Street or Muppets.
(type type type type type)
I know! I'll write about monster trucks!
(type type type type type)
Hmm. Monster trucks are lame.
(silence)
Whatever, I shouldn't have no not post about Muppets just because I'm on Fridays and someone else got to do it first. That's so not fair. Screw this, I'm writing about Muppets.

I feel totally prepared for Jeopardy:
"Answer: These are awesome."
"What are big trucks, Alex?"
"Correct. Go again."

I can't tell you how happy i am that you posted that michael stipe video. he was a hero of mine as a child. i wrote an essay about him being a "renaissance" man (sp). my favorite part is when he tells the Monsters that they don't have to be sad and then starts jumping around.
